ScoutIQ Wholesale Integrations

A detailed explanation of the Wholesale Integrations found on the Settings Tab in ScoutIQ and ScoutIQ 2 and how to use them to your advantage.

Updated over a week ago

The Wholesale Integrations found on the Settings Tab in ScoutIQ and ScoutIQ 2 help you make better sourcing decisions in real time by showing guaranteed buyback and consignment options while you scan.

These integrations can be enabled in the Wholesale Integrations section of the Settings Tab in ScoutIQ and ScoutIQ 2:

Many sellers use these offers to build separate sourcing stacks in their carts:
one for Amazon listings, and another for wholesale or consignment—maximizing ROI while minimizing risk.

Wholesale Audio Cue (Optional)

If you have Wholesale Integration and Wholesale Audio Cues enabled, you’ll hear a short bell sound followed by a high-pitched beep if a book is rejected by regular triggers, but has a buyback price higher than your cost. This helps you catch profitable wholesale buys without watching the screen.

Available Integrations

Wholesale (Direct Cash Buyback)

Consignment

Each integration serves a different purpose and payout timeline.

Integration Availability: ScoutIQ (original) vs. ScoutIQ 2

ScoutIQ (original) Supports:

  • World of Books

    • Offers appear as a green box at the bottom of the second column on the scout screen.

  • Restricted Inventory

    • If available, offers appear in the red box at the bottom of the fourth column on the scout screen.

ScoutIQ 2 Supports:

  • World of Books

  • BooksRun

  • Restricted Inventory

All three options appear under the offers columns on the scan results screen. The most lucrative option is highlighted with a rainbow- border, for quick for quick decision-making.

Why Integrations Matter While Sourcing

When you scan a book in ScoutIQ or ScoutIQ 2, Amazon profit is an educated estimate based on current data. Wholesale and consignment integrations add something different:

  • A known dollar amount you will be paid

  • No guessing about sell-through

  • No waiting for an Amazon sale (for wholesale)

  • A fallback for books you can’t or shouldn’t list

This makes integrations especially valuable for:

  • New sellers looking for faster, more predictable ROI

  • Bulk or low-cost sourcing

  • Monetizing books that are restricted, rejected, or simply not worth listing

World of Books & BooksRun: Wholesale Options

Wholesale integrations are designed for speed, certainty, and volume.

How Wholesale Offers Work

When enabled, the ScoutIQ and ScoutIQ 2 apps display the exact buyback price offered by World of Books or BooksRun directly on the scan screen.

  • The price shown is guaranteed cash, not an estimate

  • You’re selling directly to the wholesaler—not listing on Amazon

  • No waiting for a buyer

  • Ideal for cheap, bulk, or lower-margin books

Many sellers intentionally source books where the wholesale offer:

  • Covers cost immediately

  • Locks in profit with minimal effort

  • Frees up capital quickly

Building Wholesale Shipments

  • Tap the wholesale offer to add the book to your in-app cart

  • Create a shipment once you reach:

    • $7.50 minimum for World of Books

    • $10.00 minimum for BooksRun

  • Print shipping labels directly from ScoutIQ

  • Shipping is deducted, and you’re paid after processing

Restricted Inventory: Consignment Option

Restricted Inventory offers a longer-term monetization path for items that don’t make sense for wholesale or Amazon.

How Consignment Works

When scanning:

  • ScoutIQ displays a consignment estimate

  • The number shown represents 50% of what Restricted Inventory expects to sell the item for

  • This is an estimate, not guaranteed cash

If you proceed:

  • You ship the item to Restricted Inventory

  • They handle listing and selling

  • You are paid only after the item sells

Consignment is commonly used for:

  • Amazon-restricted inventory

  • Higher-value items with low wholesale offers

  • Books sourced cheaply enough to justify waiting

Monetizing “Duds” and Sourcing Mistakes

Integrations aren’t just about intentional sourcing—they’re also a safety net.

If you:

  • Bought books without checking restrictions

  • Took a calculated risk on a restricted item

  • Got unexpectedly shut down from listing on Amazon

Wholesale and consignment integrations provide alternative exits, turning potential losses into recovered capital—or even profit.

This flexibility is why many sellers keep multiple stacks while sourcing:

  • Amazon stack

  • Wholesale stack

  • Consignment stack

One-Time Setup (Required)

Before offers appear while scanning, ensure Wholesale Integrations have been togged on, under the Settings Tab:

Then you’ll need to create a free account with each service you want to use. Then tap the offer presented in the ScoutIQ or ScoutIQ 2 app, and log-in. After setup, ScoutIQ remembers your login and adds eligible books to your cart with a single tap.
