In this area, you can set your estimated shipping rate, Default Sales Tax for your scouting purchases, and your Default Discount rate for your scouting purchases. This helps to quickly calculate your Cost/Unit on the Details screen and gives you a true view of your potential profitability.
To access your Ideal Buy Settings in Scoutify, tap the settings icon in the lower right corner and scroll to the Shipping, Taxes & Discounts section.
Once in place, these settings will be taken into account within the Profitability tab of an item's Details screen.
Shipping Rate
This is the price, per pound, that you expect to pay in shipping from you to an Amazon fulfillment center.
To change this value, tap directly on the number next to /lb. It will become an editable field.
Enter your estimated price/lb and it will save automatically.
Default Sales Tax
This is the sales tax you are paying when you purchase an item for resale.
To change this value, tap directly on the number next to %. It will become an editable field.
Enter your sales tax percentage and it will save automatically.
Default Discount
This is a percentage discount that you receive when making purchases. For example, if you are going into a store where you have a preferred buyer discount of 5%, you may want to change this setting to 5% so that discount is automatically considered in your Price/Unit calculation.
To change this value, tap directly on the number next to %. It will become an editable field.
Enter your discount percentage and it will save automatically.
