Ready to start listing your items? If so, the first step is to start your batch!

Start a Batch

  1. Navigate to List > List & Prep in the top menu.

  2. Click Start a Batch or the plus button in the upper-left corner of the page.

    or

General Information

  1. Complete the following fields under General Information:

    1. Batch Name: The default is the date and time you open the batch. You may choose to customize it based on supplier, contents, etc.

    2. Channel: Choose from Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) or Merchant Fulfilled (MFN).

  2. Click Batch Settings.

Batch Settings

  1. On the next screen, provide the following information:

    1. Shipping Contact: This field pulls the contact information from your account settings. It displays the shipping contact in a sample format that includes the name, phone number, and email address. It is only visible for FBA Shipments.

Note: While you may be able to click on Shipping Contact, you won't see an option to change it to something else. See our guide to updating your shipping contact if you need to change yours.

    2. Ship From Address: You can choose your Ship From Address here. The default address will be displayed. If you have more than one address in Settings and need to change to one of the secondary addresses, click the arrow to choose a secondary address. To add a new address, click the plus sign on the right side, enter the new address, and click Save Address.

    3. Box Contents: You can click the toggle to turn your Box Contents On or Off. The toggle is turned on when the knob is on the right.

Note: Currently, the only option for submitting a batch with Box Contents on is On - Using Feed. We're planning to add the option On - Using 2D Barcode soon.

    4. Min/Max Preference: Choose whether you would like to capture min/max prices for items added to the batch. You have three choices:

      1. Do not capture: InventoryLab will not ask for your min/max prices.

      2. Send to Amazon: InventoryLab will save your min/max prices for each MSKU and share them with Amazon's repricer and any other repricer you've integrated. This can help prevent high pricing errors.

      3. Save to InventoryLab: InventoryLab will save your min/max prices and share them with any repricer you've integrated, but will not share them with Amazon.

    5. Buy List Import: If you want to import a buy list, choose Select From Scoutify or Select From File. Otherwise, leave this setting on No buy list selected.

  2. Click Start Your Batch.
