When listing an item to FBA, you are required to provide dangerous goods information. You have the ability to enter this information while listing in InventoryLab!

Note: The requirement is on an MSKU basis, meaning, even if you’ve already provided dangerous goods information on an ASIN before, you will need to do so again if you create a new MSKU for the item. Additionally, we will not ask you to provide this information on merchant-fulfilled items as this is an FBA-only requirement.

Providing Dangerous Goods Information

To provide dangerous goods information, take the following steps:

  1. Create a new FBA batch or open an existing one.

  2. Search for your product.

    • When adding it to the batch, you'll see the option to provide dangerous goods information. Here, you will be asked if your item is regulated or contains a battery.

  3. Select Yes in the dropdown menu under Regulated or Battery.

    • Select No if your items are not classified as dangerous goods.

Regulated

After selecting Yes in the dropdown menu for Regulated, you will be prompted to enter additional information.

Regulation List

Under Regulation List, select from the following options:

  • Storage - enter Product Weight (kilograms) and Product Volume (milliliters)

  • Waste - enter Product Weight (kilograms) and Product Volume (milliliters)

  • Transportation - enter Product Weight (kilograms), Product Volume (milliliters), and UN Number

  • GHS - enter Product Weight (kilograms), Product Volume (milliliters), Safety Data Sheet (SDS) URL, GHS Pictograms (compressed gas, explosive, health hazard, flammable, toxic, corrosive, oxidizing, environmentally damaging, irritant, or no pictogram, text only)

  • Other - enter Product Weight (kilograms) and Product Volume (milliliters)

Battery

After selecting Yes in the dropdown menu for Battery, you will be prompted to enter the Battery Packaging.

Battery Packaging

The dropdown menu for Battery Packaging includes the following:

  • Product is a battery

  • Product requires batteries which are packed with the product

  • Product requires batteries that are contained in the product

  • Product requires batteries which are sold separately

Note: Please keep in mind that it is each Seller’s responsibility to provide the correct information for their products.

Adding Optional Information

Currently, you will only be able to provide the information Amazon states is required for each item through InventoryLab. If you need to add more, take the following steps.

  1. Navigate to Seller Central.

  2. Go to Inventory > Manage Inventory pages.

  3. Select Edit on your listing.

  4. Add optional information in the Compliance tab.
