Once you've added all items to your batch, it's time to move on to the Box It stage! Here, you can view your pack groups, assign box contents, check item details, print labels, and more.
If you're a visual learner and using the setting Box Contents On - Using Feed, check out our Box It video guide! Otherwise, scroll past the video to keep reading these instructions.
Notes on this video:
Submitting batches via 2D barcodes is in working development and will be available soon!
Deleting boxes in InventoryLab has recently been shown to cause mismatches between InventoryLab's box numbers and Amazon's. We recommend avoiding this unless necessary.
The Next: Ship It button is now simply Next.
Archive Batch has been renamed Close Batch.
Pack Groups
When at the Box It stage, you will see your pack groups located at the top of the screen. Pack groups (just groups in InventoryLab) are how Amazon has chosen to divide your items based on what can be packed together. Here you can view your product information and add boxes.
To start, click on the desired group to view the items within it.
Add boxes by selecting + New Box.
To add boxes in bulk, check out Box Content - Assign/Remove Items in Bulk.
Assigning Box Contents
If you have Box Contents On for your batch, you'll need to assign each item to a box.
You can assign your items to boxes manually or in bulk. You also have the option to copy boxes, duplicate boxes, switch the quantities of a box to a different box, and more! For more details, see Providing Box Contents Using Feeds.
Item Details
In the Box It stage, you have access to a comprehensive overview of each item’s details. This includes the following:
Quantity
Image
Title
ASIN
FNSKU
MSKU
Condition
Expiration Date
MSKU Totals
On the right side of your screen, you will see the totals for your batch broken up by pack group. Under the group number, you will see the following:
MSKUs: total number of MSKUs in the group
Quantity: total quantity of items in the group
Boxes: total number of boxes in the group
Cost: total cost of the items in the group, based on buy costs
Value: total value of the items in the group, based on List Price
Estimated ROI: total return on investment of the items in the group
Searching for Items
To search for items within the pack group, click the search bar at the top of the screen.
Type in the ASIN, FNSKU, or MSKU of the item for it to populate.
Printing Labels
To print FNSKU labels from this page, click the checkbox icon located next to the search bar.
Select the checkbox next to the item for which you’d like to print labels. Click Print Labels if you use a thermal label printer.
A popover will appear asking how many labels you'd like to print.
If you are only printing labels for one item, this will default to showing the total number of labels you need. If you want to print a different number, enter the number of labels you would like to print. Select Print.
If you are printing labels for more than one item at a time, delete the number in the field and then click Print to automatically print the correct amount. Alternatively, enter a number to print that exact amount for each selected item, even if it's more or less than you need.
Entering Box Weights and Dimensions
Once you've finished boxing your items, you'll need to enter box weights and dimensions.
If you have Box Contents On, see "Adding Box Weight and Dimensions" in Providing Box Contents Using Feeds. Then skip down to "Shipping Your Boxes" below.
If you have Box Contents Off, it's best to enter each box's weight and dimensions one at a time. Start by packing all your boxes for one group. If you have more than one box in the group, click + New Box until you have all the boxes you need.
Finally, click on your box and enter the weight, length, width, and height of one of your boxes. Repeat until all your boxes have been filled in.
Shipping Your Boxes
To finish the Box It step, click Next in the lower right if you have not done so already.
If you missed the weight and dimensions of any of your boxes, you'll be prompted to enter them now. Fill in all fields and then click Save and continue.
You'll see the popover shown below. In the shipping mode field, select Small Parcel Shipment(s) - SPD if you're only sending boxes, or switch to Less Than Truckload Shipment(s) - LTL if you're shipping your boxes on pallets. Then click Confirm Shipping Mode.
You'll then arrive on our Ship It step, where you can choose from a variety of shipment options and purchase and print your labels.
