MSKU Customization allows you to select variables and structure MSKUs how you'd like to see them when they are created.

Manage and View Custom MSKUs

  1. Click your Account Name.

  2. Select Settings from the dropdown menu.

  3. Click General from the left menu.

  4. Scroll to the MSKU Customization section.

MSKU Customization Options

There are many options for MSKU Customization. When making your selection, you can choose from the following:

Let IL Create My MSKU - Let InventoryLab autogenerate MSKUs for you without any custom settings.

Use Set MSKU Prefix - Enter a set prefix you want to include at the beginning of each MSKU.

Use Variable MSKU - Generate MSKUs based on up to four of the following variables:

  • BUY COST

  • ASIN

  • CONDITION

  • CUSTOM

  • LIST PRICE

  • PURCHASE DATE

  • SALES RANK

  • SUPPLIER

Note: When using the CUSTOM variable, the value must not be empty and cannot contain any of the separators shown below:

  • When Use Set MSKU Prefix is selected, click the text field next to MSKU Prefix to enter or edit your prefix.

  • To save the changes, click Save.

Set up or Edit Variable Formula

When Use Variable MSKU is selected, you can set up or edit the variable formula.

  1. Click the pencil icon.

  2. Select the variables and separators you would like to use in the selection panel.

    Note: The Count will always be included when using variables as a failsafe to keep your MSKUs unique.

  3. To add a variable option, click + Add Option and choose your selection from the dropdown menu.

  4. To delete a variable option, click the trash can icon next to it.

    • If you need to change the position of an option in the formula, you can move each one by clicking and dragging them up or down to their new position.

    • As you build the MSKU formula, a preview of the new MSKU will be available at the bottom of the panel.

    • A sample of the MSKU will also be available on the Settings>General page once saved.

  5. Click Save Formula to proceed (click Cancel to go back).
